Die 25. European Summer School in Logic, Language and Information (ESSLLI) fand vom 05. – 16. August 2013 an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf statt.
Die von der Association for Logic, Language and Information (FoLLI) jedes Jahr an wechselnden Orten in Europa organisierte Veranstaltung bringt Logiker, Linguisten, Informatiker und Philosophen zusammen, um Sprachwissenschaft, Logik und Informationswissenschaft und ihre Querverbindungen zu studieren.
This year’s European Summer School in Logic, Language and Information was hosted in Düsseldorf, Germany and organized by Heinrich Heine University’s Faculty of Humanities and Arts and collaborated of Research Center 991. 2013 marked the 25th anniversary of this two week summer school, which was established in 1989.
The participants were welcomed by Professor Laura Kallmeyer, Pro-rector Professor Lutz Schmitt and Dr. Paul Dekker in one of Düsseldorf’s many historic monuments, the Villa Horion. From August 5th to August 16th students from all over the world had the opportunity to participate in lectures held by 80 renowned scientists from 53 institutions and 18 countries.
400 ESSLLI participants enjoyed two weeks filled with a mixed schedule of events, including evening lectures and a rich recreation and social program.
